SEPTEMBER 2002 NEWS ARCHIVE

  • "What's Going On?": Staind's Aaron Lewis and a list of other all-star artists were said on September 10 to join in a remake of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On?", which was originally set to make its debut on World AIDS Day (December 1) in benefit of the AIDS relief.  However, due to the attacks of September 11, proceeds from "What's Going On?" will now go to both the AIDS relief and United Way's September 11 fund.
A video will debut today and CDs will be in stores September 23.  The song will also feature Fred Durst, Bono, Gwen Stefani, and Michael Stipe among others.  For a complete list, check out http://www.mtv.com/music/whatsgoingon/.

  • HBO Reverb: Staind performs "Mudshovel," "Suffer," "Break," "Outside," "It's Been Awhile," "Spleen," and "Fade."  If you don't have HBO, you can download the show from the videos page.
